Ugandan international Patrick Kaddu scored a second half hat-trick as Gor Mahia thrashed bottom placed Vihiga Bullets 5-0 in a FKF Premier League match staged at Kasarani Stadium on Wednesday.
Kaddu, who joined Gor a few days ago from Kampala City after K’Ogalo’s transfer ban was lifted by FIFA announced his arrival in style after netting in the 51st, 58th and 82nd minutes to add to Peter Lwasa and Austine Odhiambo’s first half goals.
The win stretched Gor lead at the top to 45 points, six ahead of defending champions Tusker who saw off Bidco United 3-1.
Siwa Shaphan, Thomas Tika and Rodgers Ouma were on target for the champions who leapfrogged Nzoia Sugar into second place on 39 points. Nzoia Sugar are third with 38 points, same as AFC Leopards.
Ojo Olaniyi scored the all-important goal in the first half that handed Ingwe a 1-0 win over Bandari.
Elsewhere, nine-man Nairobi City Stars thrashed Mathare United 3-0.
Augustine Etemesi scored a brace as Newton Ochieng sealed the win in a match where two City Stars players were red carded after each accumulated a second yellow card. Edwin Buliba and Vincent Otieno were shown red in the 68th and 69th minutes respectively.
Other matches saw Kakamega Homeboyz draw 0-0 with KCB, Posta Rangers edge Talanta 2-0 and Kariobangi Sharks fight back to draw 2-2 with Wazito.
