Benson Omalla scored his 16th goal of the season as Gor Mahia came from behind to defeat Kenya Police 2-1 in an entertaining Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League match staged at Kasarani on Saturday.

In a game where the league's top scorers were on display, former AFC Leopards hit man Elvis Rupia was first to lift the fans up from their seats when he scored his 12th goal of the campaign when he gave Police the lead in the 11th minute before Dennis Nganga restored parity for K'Ogalo eight minutes later.

The game went to the break tied at 1-1 and fans had to wait until the last eight minutes of the match to catch a glimpse of the top scorer Omalla who proved once again to be useful in front of goal for Gor who nicked a 2-1 win.

Victory saw K'Ogalo register their first ever win over Kenya Police. Police has proven a hard nut to crack for Gor in their only two meetings where Gor lost 2-0 and drew 1-1.

Gor also moved four points clear at the top of the standings on 37 points ahead of KCB who host AFC Leopards on Sunday at Kasarani Stadium.

Earlier on, Enosh Ochieng scored a brace as Ulinzi Stars defeated inconsistent Nairobi City Stars 2-0 at Kasarani Annex that hosted a double header.

As the soldiers stretched their unbeaten run to four games, City Stars lost their fourth game in five matches, a poor run that sees them drop to the relegation zone.

Simba wa Nairobi are no longer roaring as they slip to 16th on 12 points, two more than Wazito who are second last as Vihiga Bullets are bottom on four points.
