Record champions Gor Mahia stretched their unbeaten run to four matches as draws dominated round six of the 2022/23 FKF Premier League season matches in Nairobi and Kisumu yesterday.

Gor Mahia picked their third win of the season after seeing off Bandari 1-0 in an early kick-off match at Kasarani Stadium as Ulinzi Stars thrashed FC Talanta 3-0 at Kasarani Annex, just a few metres away from the main stadium.

Posta Rangers also beat Vihiga Bullets 2-1, who were playing their first match of the season, in Thika.

Wounded AFC Leopards search for a second win of the season continues after they were frustrated to a 0-0 draw by Kakamega Homeboyz while Nairobi City Stars were held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Kariobangi Sharks.

The other match featuring Sofapaka and Kenya Police also ended in a 1-1 draw as Wazito held Bidco United to a barren draw in Kisumu.

At Kasarani, in-form Benson Omalla scored his fourth consecutive goal of the season to lead the former champions to victory over the dockers.

The former Western Stima striker's seventh minute goal proved vital for K'Ogalo to take their unbeaten run to four matches.

Ulinzi Stars bagged their second win of the season after thrashing Talanta 3-0 at Kasarani Annex.

Hillary Simiyu, Enosh Ochieng and Bernard Ongoma hit the target for the soldiers.

In Muhoroni, Wazito FC held Bidco United to a barren draw in their first match of the season.

The midweek matches acted as season opener for Wazito and Vihiga Bullets after the end of the relegation and promotion saga.

Mathare United will equally tackle high-flying Nzoia Sugar in their first match of the campaign at Utalii Grounds today with Boniface Omondi seeking to make a brilliant debut in the Slum Boys' dugout.

Meanwhile, KCB coach Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno is wary of the threat posed by FKF PL leaders Tusker as the two sides clash at Kasarani Annex today.

"We know that Tusker is a strong team, but we approach this match with a winning mentality. In the past five draws out of the past five matches we've played against them, they are the one's who always equalise for a draw. In the last match, they actually equalized in the dying minutes of the match," Otieno told the club's media.
