Goalkeeper Peter Mwathe could not save the day for Black Widow in a 5-1 heavy defeat by Motivators in the ongoing Mrembo Na Kazi Football Bonanza at Lemuko Primary School in Bahati-Sub County, Nakuru County at the weekend.

At the end of the match, Mwathe faced a heavy condemnation from teammates for letting in easy goals prompting the indulgence of former Harambee Stars Captain Musa Otieno to cool in the tempers.

Otieno told the Black Widow players not to fully blame the custodian on their defeat as it was a joint teamwork in the match and the whole mess should be pinned on the whole playing unit.

“You should not fully blame him (Mwathe) for this defeat. Ask yourselves, how did the ball reach him without passing through the defenders and midfielders before it got into the net. It was total teamwork and no-one should blame the other.
