Kisumu Hot Stars captain Fredrick Odongo is confident they will collect maximum points when they face leaders Kenya Police on Saturday at Ruaraka Grounds in Nairobi as the National Super League enter week nine.

During an exclusive interview with the Standard Sports on Friday, Odongo said the team is in form and hungry for more wins especially after edging out an experienced Migori Youth team last weekend.

“We a psyched up after the important win we registered last weekend. The team is slowly strong as we have been trying to build up the chemistry between our attack and defense especially after a slow start to the league,” he said.

Odongo, who is standing in for the injured team captain Regan Ojwang, said they have worked out their problems and fixed their attacking misses they experienced last week.

Despite Police form and table toppers status, Odongo said they believe in themselves and will be going out for blood.

“Police are the only side unbeaten in the league so far. We respect them for that and we will be going there knowing very well their defense is solid.\this means we have to take our chances, be clinical and defend well,” he added.

Hot Stars, also known as ‘Opuk’ill head into the game ranked sixth in the logs with 13 points, five points behind leaders Police with 18 points.
