Golden Boot narrows between Otanga and Miheso

Battle for Kenya premier League golden boot will be contested between KCB’s Derrick Otanga and Kenya Police FC’s Clifton Miheso.

Miheso has scored 14 goals for Police while Otanga has scored 13 with two matches remaining for the season to come to an end next weekend.

Otanga has scored three goals against his former team Wazito since he exited the team a year ago.

Last week, he helped his side win over Nairobi City stars 3-2 in an FKF Premier League match.

Otanga admits that it will not be a walk in the park as his close contender is only a goal behind him.

“I must score more goals to help my team win the remaining games and, individually, to win the golden boot,” said Otanga.

Last year, Otanga was decorated the June Football Kenya Federation Premier League Player of the Month courtesy of Betking Premier League.

He beat two of his teammates Nashon Alembi and Joseph Okoth emerged second and third respectively and also Gor Mahia keeper Gad Mathews.

Clifton Miheso, a midfielder with Kenya Police from Gor Mahia in October last year. He has played for the national team Harambee Stars since 2018.
