Once again, youngster Henry Meja scored the winner as Tusker cemented their place at the summit of the FKF Premier League with a 2-1 comeback victory over a stubborn Nzoia Sugar at Kasarani Stadium on Tuesday.

The win-Tusker's tenth of the season-saw them open a seven-point gap over second-placed KCB (25) who face a tricky tie against Sofapaka in Wundanyi on Wednesday.

Ian Simiyu had given Nzoia the lead three minutes into the second half only for Jackson Macharia to come off the bench and cancel it out in the 73rd minute.

Meja then ensured the brewers stretch their unbeaten run to 12-games when he struck the winner in the 81st minute and consequently take his goals tally to eight, five behind leading scorer Erick Kapaito of Kariobangi Sharks.

In Mombasa, Benjamin Mosha hit a brace and provided an assist as resurgent Bandari ran riot in a 5-0 victory against visiting Vihiga United.

The victory pushed the dockers into the third spot on the table with 22 points, while Vihiga remained 15th on the log with a paltry nine points.

Mosha broke the deadlock in the 28th minute after being released through by Ugandan midfielder William Wadri. The opener came less than ten minutes after Erick Otieno missed a chance to put the visitors in front on the opposite end.

Mosha then became the provider setting up Kenyan international Abdallah Hassan for the second goal in the 34th minute.

Danson Namasaka put the game beyond Vihiga's reach with the third goal in the 54th minute before Abdallah Hassan and Namasaka paved the way for Darius Msagha and Yema Mwana. Msagha's impact was felt immediately as he extended the dockers' lead in the 76th minute less than eight minutes after coming on.

Mosha would then hit the final nail in Vihiga's casket in the 85th minute and seal a third consecutive victory for Cassa Mbungo's side. [Rodgers Eshitemi and Ernest Ndunda]
