Zinedine Zidane has cast doubt over his Real Madrid future by refusing to confirm whether or not he would see out his contract.

The Frenchman has a deal at the Bernabeu until 2022 but there is no guarantee he will remain in the dugout until then.

Madrid's form this season has cast doubt over his future with club president Florentino Perez known for hiring and firing managers.

Zidane guided Los Blancos to the La Liga title last season but has been unable to mount a meaningful defence this term.

They also scraped through from the Champions League group and face Atalanta in the last 16.

The 48-year-old is not concerned about his future however and insisted there will always be change at a club like Madrid.

“We'll see,” Zidane said when asked about the chances of seeing out his current deal.

“The important thing is the day to day, This is what concerns me. What happened has already happened.

“What I say is that those of us who are here deserve to work. Everyone can say whatever they want. What we are going to do here is believe in what we do.

“Why should I leave if I do what I like?

“You go through bad times, of course, that's normal in life. At Madrid we know that it's a great club and that what you have to do is compete. And, here, there will always be changes.”

Zidane has a hugely successful history with the Spanish giants having guided them to a hat-trick of Champions League wins.
