Harambee Stars winger Ayub Timbe set to join English Championship side Reading FC

English Championship side Reading FC are expected to confirm the loan signing of Harambee Stars winger Ayub Timbe ahead of Friday's deadline after agreeing on a deal with the Chinese side Beijing Renhe.

According to Berkshire Live, the 27-year-old is having medicals ahead of signing a loan contract with the club until the end of the season.

Timbe's club Beijing Renhe are also run by the same owners as Reading FC.

The Genk midfielder will join 23-year-old Brazilian midfielder Felipe Araruna at the club.

Felipe, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Royals from Sao Paulo, is Reading's first signing of the January transfer window.

The reports add that Reading is still searching for a striker ahead of today’s transfer window deadline.
