Liverpool made a perfect start to their first league title in 30 years, defeating Norwich (4-1) on Friday to open the Premier League.

The evening, despite the brilliant result, however, was not perfect for the European champions: they lost their goalie Alisson Becker on injury.

The Brazilian goalkeeper slipped clear just before half-time, leaving Adrian, his new N.2, from West Ham.

"It's not good, but we're going to find a solution and move on." He felt something in his calf, he looked behind him because he thought something had hit him. Explained Jürgen Klopp at the microphone of Sky Sports, stating that the goalkeeper would not be handed Wednesday for the SuperCoupe d'Europe against Chelsea in Istanbul.

"But Adrian is a good goalkeeper, he is calm with the ball and he is good at stopping the shots, that's why we recruited him," added the German coach.

"We deserve all three points, there is plenty of room to progress, we know it, but a lot of things were here tonight," he said.

At the time of the injury, the largely dominating Reds were already leading 3-0, thanks to an excellent Origi, preferred to Mané at kickoff, and a Salah scorer.

Norwich did not last long in Anfield. In the 7th minute, Hanley deflected a centre of the Belgian striker in his own cage for the first goal of the season.

A few minutes later, Salah put the game out of reach of the promoted by adjusting Krul a perfect cross-shot (19th). Then the Egyptian served a well-balanced corner to Van Dijk, who had admired his power and his whim for the 3-0 (28th).

The injury of Becker (39th) did not slow down the Reds so far. On a long centre-piece of Alexander-Arnold, Origi scored the fourth goal, a precise header before the break (42nd).

With victory in their pocket, Jürgen Klopp's men then dropped, leaving the Canaries scoring a goal thanks to Pukki (64).

Liverpool got off to a flying start, stating its ambitions: Manchester City to do as well Saturday. Reigning English champions Pep Guardiola, who are favourites to succeed, will kick off their season on West Ham's pitch.
