BEWARE OF BLACK MAMBAS: Harambee Stars cautious of Mozambique's challenge in qualifier

Harambee Stars coach Stanley Okumbi will be looking for his second win on home soil when he leads Kenya against Mozambique today in an international build-up match at Kasarani Stadium from 4pm.

Okumbi, who took charge of the team in February, has won just once at home, when Stars beat Congo Brazaville 2-1 in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

But overall, Harambee Stars (under Okumbi) are unbeaten after six matches and this is a form Okumbi will be keen to maintain.

Okumbi has insisted that he is not so much concerned with avoiding a loss, but his focus is on playing well against the Mambas of Mozambique.

“We have had a good record in our last six matches, but what matters most is that we play well. We are in a rebuilding process and it is important for the players to understand what we are trying to do,” he said.
