Paris Saint-Germain have switched summer targets after their chances of signing Cristiano Ronaldo evaporated with Real Madrid’s transfer ban.

Or so claim L’Equipe, France’s biggest-selling sports daily.

The Parisians are set to lose star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, with his contract expiring in June and no prospect of a renewal.

Cristiano Ronaldo has long been the desire of president Nasser El-Khelaifi as his replacement, and the Portuguese superstar has done nothing to dampen talk by repeatedly changing tack in public comments over his future.

But with Real Madrid’s transfer ban set to ground any significant departures from the club, the French giants have reportedly already switched their sights.
