JKUAT student among young African scientists feted at global conference to eradicate tsetse flies

A 25 year-old JKUAT student has shattered the glass ceiling for young women in scientific research, after she was ranked the best during a global conference in Kenya.

The conference, which was hosted at the coastal city of Mombasa, reviewed existing control measures and looked into adopting new innovative ways and policies that will help eradicate tsetse flies and Trypanosomiasis, also known as the sleeping sickness.
