A United Democratic Alliance party delegates meeting in Mombasa aborted on Saturday after supporters of Nyali MP Mohamed Ali and those of East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) legislator Hassan Omar clashed.
The meeting ended prematurely after teargas exploded at the podium where Ali was surrounded by supporters. The incident sent everybody scampering for the exit door.
