KCB Football Club coach Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno is upbeat the bankers has what it takes to defeat AFC Leopards ahead of their FKF Premier League duel today (Sunday) at Kasarani Stadium from 3pm East African Time.

Unbeaten in their last six matches, the former Gor Mahia head coach is keen to maintain his team's form against Ingwe as they look to pile more pressure on leaders Gor Mahia, Tusker and Nzoia Sugar above them in the standings.

KCB are currently fourth on 48 points having played a game less than the trio has.

On Saturday, Gor moved top of the log on 56 points after edging out Kenya Police 1-0 as Nzoia Sugar cut the gap between them and defending champions Tusker to three points after seeing off the brewers with a similar score line.

Tusker are second with 54 points as Nzoia sit third on 51 points.

Speaking ahead of their Leopards clash, Zico said they are ready.

"We are preparing well for the upcoming clash which we know for sure is not going to be an easy one. AFC Leopards are a good side; they will cause a lot of problems for us, but I hope our game plan and a bit of luck will work for us on Sunday," he told KCB media team.

The team recently dismantled Wazito FC 2-0 who are battling relegation in another FKF-premier league encounter as the title charge intensifies.

Zico has handed newcomers Musa Masika, Erickson Mulu, Cliff Oruko, and Apollo Otieno places in his starting eleven. Kennedy Owino famously known as 'Daddy' is the current KCB top scorer having netted his 10th goal for the bankers this season during the Wazito encounter.

"The boys are currently very confident, and I am sure they will showcase a valiant display against Ingwe. Of course, a majority are fit, and anyone can be called upon to start," added Zico.

Forward Nicholas Kipkurui has missed the past two games for the team as well as Full-back Harrison Mwale who is still out with an injury.
