Were it not for the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the two world’s best marathoners, Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge and Ethiopian Kenenisa Bekele would have gone head-to-head in the 40th annual London Marathon today.
The race, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, April 26 (today), was postponed to Sunday, October 4, 2020, following the rapid spread of Covid-19 cases in the United Kingdom.
