Military games: Armoured and Artillery Brigade draw

Armoured Brigade came from a goal down to force Sixth Brigade to a one all draw as the Chief of Defence Forces Football Championships kicked-off at 81 Tank Battalion in Lanet, Nakuru County yesterday. A confident Sixth Brigade drew the first blood in the 10th minute through man of the match Peter Ochieng’ who squeezed past Armoured Brigade defenders Sylus Shotote, Efan Birgen, Isaac Lewa and Nicholas Obura to unleash a powerful drive past custodian Frank Miheso. Armoured Brigade equalised in the 87th minute when Gilbert Mukwei’s powerful long drive. Kenya Defence Forces Football Association chairman Brigadier Juma Mwinyikai applauded the standards of football in the barracks saying it was a forum for talent research. The matches continue today.
