Interim Manchester United Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to rush Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial back from injury for Sunday’s visit of Premier League leaders Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The pair hobbled off with injuries in the loss to French giants Paris Saint Germain last week in the Champions League and as a result, missed the 2-0 triumph over local rivals Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday night.

Sources in the United Kingdom claim that the Norwegian tactician doesn’t have faith in Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez especially against a high profile opponent and he aims to speed up the return of the stars before tomorrow’s match.

The Chilean has struggled since he moved to Man United last year in a deal that left Arsenal fans angered. He has put up several below-par performances so far as he has either been hooked or started on the bench in most of the matches this season.

The former Arsenal forward has had to endure bizarre comparisons from managers and pundits due to his current form with the recent one being the comparison to a ketchup bottle by the Man United Coach.

Should the pair be passed fit for Sunday, they could find themselves thrown right into the mix. But if they don’t make it, Solkjaer believes he has the right squad depth to deal with the absence of his star men. That means Sanchez could be given another chance to impress.

“Every single player has the attributes to give us something and the way we played against Chelsea shows we can cope without them,' the Norwegian said on Friday. We have got options, it's a big squad, everyone is eager. They want to play in this game. Some haven't played so much, so it's a chance to step forward. If they don't make it, it might be the same team as against Chelsea. Who knows.” Ole said.

A mouthwatering display is expected to be on show at the Theatre of Dreams. Liverpool can’t afford to drop any points on their way to their first title in 28 years.
