You heard it from us for the first time in August and now, you we can confirm it. The much-awaited November wedding between Sauti Sol’s guitarist, composer, producer and singer Polycarp Otieno aka Fancy Fingers and his celebrity girlfriend Lady Mandy has happened.

It had been a whole week of activity leading to yesterday’s Fairmont Mt Kenya Safari Club, Nanyuki, blissful affair that saw the two love birds say “I do” in an exclusive invite-only private affair attended by family and close friends as well as select artistes who came to witness the two walk down the aisle.

This was the same spot where the Real Housewives of Atlanta star Shamea Morton tied the knot with US-based Kenyan businessman Gerald Mwangi in July last year, another colourful ceremony that was attended by former Xscape singers Tiny, Kandi Burrus and her husband Todd Tucker.

Among those lined to perform were singers Wiyo, Dela Maranga, the Mafeelings singer, Milele singer Idd Aziz and the Sauti Sol band. The team left Nairobi on Wednesday in preparation for the big day.

Sources told Pulse that the venue had been locked for the special occasion and only invited guests were allowed access.

The wedding ceremony has been one of the most anticipated showbiz events this year since the two visited Burundi, where Lady Mandy’s family acknowledged the love as they solemnised their union.

The ceremony was attended by among others the Kenyan Ambassador to Burundi Ken Vitisia.

“Do I need to say more? …Congrats to @itsmefancyfingers & @iamladymandy for making it official via Burundian traditional customs. I’ve never been at a more wonderful ceremony. Wish you two nothing but everlasting love and light,”

Anyiko, their publicist commented on Twitter breaking the news on what was one of Nairobi’s best kept secrets.

Lady Mandy, who is from Burundi, is a celebrity fashion stylist based in Kenya working with top celebrities among them Amina Abdi, Kalekye Mumo, Mercy Masika and Janet Mbugua.

She is said to have had a hand in what the couple picked for yesterday’s big day.

After dating for five years, the couple were engaged last year setting the ball rolling towards yesterday’s culmination.

The enviable couple hit showbiz headlines last year after their secret engagement, a closely-guarded secret that found its way to the media six months later.

At the time,Polycarp suggested that they could not wait to get a baby, getting people started on suggesting that his fi ancée was pregnant, something they denied.

The luxurious fi ve-star Fairmont Mt Kenya Safari Club that faces Mount Kenya National Park is said to have cost the couple’s guests about Sh20,000 per room.

The resort, set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens, has magnificent views of the majestic Mt Kenya.

It oozes a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure and has 120 luxurious rooms.
