Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson will breathe a huge sigh of relief!

The Reds now have 12 points after four games and sit pretty at the top of the Premier League table after defeating Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium.

An early goal by Sadio Mane with less than 10 minutes gone set Liverpool on course, before Roberto Firmino headed in James Milner’s corner right before the break to make it 2-0.

Leicester went down fighting in the second half, new signing Rashid Ghezzal halving the deficit in the 61^st minute after Alisson’s howler.

Here’s how the drama unfolded minute by minute:

LEICESTER: Schmeichel, Ricardo Pereira, Morgan, Maguire, Chilwell, Mendy, Ndidi, Albrighton, Maddison, Gray, Ghezzal.

0' - The teams are exiting the tunnel, to the applause of the huge crowd at the King Power Stadium.

3' - MISS!!!!! Salah latches on to a rebound created by Firmino but fails to put his shot on target. Leicester breathe a sigh of relief! 

7' - Frantic start to the game by both sides. Liverpool looking dangerous on the counter. Leicester trying to create something at the other end mostly through Gray. 

10 ' - GOAL!!! Sadio Mane!!! - The Senegalese striker strikes with precision. Schmeichel could do nothing about it. Nice play from Robertson down the wing. Liverpool 1. 

14' - Liverpool now controlling the pace of the game. Stringing good passes in between the Leicester midfield. 

18' - Robertson looks a menace down the left. Great pace and power. Leicester can't quite get anything going!

25' - Leicester growing into the game. Pinning Liverpool to their own half at times. But can't get past Allison who gets down to save. Leicester slowly picking u the pace. Liverpool a little bit flat-footed. 

32 ' - Leicester come close! Maddison tries to wrap his foot around the ball at the edge of the box but hits it with too much power. Allison smiles as it sails over the bar. 

37 ' - Perreira kicks Milner on the head. The Englishman is okay, gets back to his feet. Chilwell tries to get Allisson off guard but his shot is weak. 

38 ' - Firmino fouls Morgan. Leicester get a freekick at the halfway line. But the cross is poor and a Liverpool defender hoops it back to Schmeichel. 

41 ' - Both teams trying to launch a counter-attack but the pressing in the game has been superb so far. 

43' - SAVE!!! Schmeichel gets down to save a Mo Salah shot! The Egyptian wriggled his way through the Leicester defenders and managed to produce a shot. 

44 '- GOAL!!!! Firmino gets high up to head James Milner's corner! Liverpool lead 2-0. Leicester can't believe it. 

HALFTIME: That's all she wrote after 45 minutes at the King Power Stadium. Liverpool looks stronger on the break, Leicester hasn't been able to break down the Reds defence so far.

SECOND HALF UNDERWAY!!!!

49' - Both teams look a little cautious now. Salah dangerous a usual down the right flank. Leicester struggle to clear the ball. Liverpool have this game under control. 

52' - Leicester come close again. Liverpool defenders struggle to deal with a goalmouth scramble, which eventually sees Gomez block a shot, leading Allison to get down and save. Leicester are not letting this go. The pace of the game hasn't declined. It's like they never went for halftime. 

56 '- Virgil van Dijk booked for a foul on Maddison. Leicester get a free kick at the edge of the box. Maddison hits the wall. and Leicester get another corner but fail to capitalise. Allison tries to find Salah in the opponents half but Schmeichel is the definition of  'Sweeper Keeper' - 

58' - WASTE! Salah fails to pull the trigger as he's left one on one with the Leicester Goalkeeper. The Foxes clear their lines. 

60' - Liverpool really looking to seal this game. Playing splitting passes through the Leicester midfield again. But Maguire responds buy clearing. 

61 - SUB! Iheanacho ON, Marc Albrighton comes ON. 

63 - GOAL! Ghezzal Scores! Alisson with a howler, Iheanacho steals the ball from the former Roma man and finds Ghezzal on the penalty spot. who slots it home to make it 2-1. 

68' - Leicester now looking like the stronger side. That goal seemed to have rocked Liverpool quite a bit. More passes coming Chilwell's way. More possession to Leicester. They try to engineer a cross down the left but Allison is sure this time

70 - Liverpool SUB: SALAH goes off SHAQIRI replaces him, HENDERSON replaced by Keita. 

75' - Leicester SUB: GRAY goes OFF, OKAZAKI ON. 

76 - Shaqiri immediately tries to win a foul at the Edge of the box, but Paul Tierney will have none of it. 

83 - Liverpool fail to capitalise from a freekick at the edge of the box. Leicester make a substitution, MADDISON comes off for AMARTEY

87' - Trent Alexander-Arnold fires a shot but it goes wide. Leicester quickly get the ball back into play and catch Liverpool on the counter. But Chillwell's cross is cleared and the ball falls to Ndidi, whose shot is also blocked. Mendy booked.  

88' - Liverpool SUB: Trent Alexander-Arnold goes off and is replaced by Matip. Defensive from Klopp.

90 - Five minutes have been added and Klopp doesn't like it. Leicester now hurrying things up but Liverpool defiant. Keep them rooted to the corner. 

90+3' - Milner fouls Perreira. Leicester have a freekick. Ghezzal crosses but Van Dijk is on point to clear. Leicester corner. Schmeichel has come forward. 

90 +4 - Scramble in the box. Ghezzal's corner is cleared. Liverpool get a freekick. Ndidi is booked. 

FULL TIME: Liverpool win. They make it four in four. Leicester receive their second defeat of the season.
