WWE legend Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart dies

WWE Legend Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart has died.

Neidhart died on Monday morning at the age of 63.

Nicknamed "The Anvil," Neidhart was best known for his team in WWE as partner to his brother-in-law and fellow wrestling legend Bret "Hitman" Hart in The Hart Foundation.

He was a World Wresting Federation (WWF) superstar in the 1980s and 90s and worked alongside Bret “The Hitman” Hart as a member of The Hart Foundation team.

Tributes from across the wrestling world began to pour in, with many of the wrestler's former colleagues sharing their thoughts:

Bret Hart expressed his sadness on the social media site after hearing the news.

He wrote: "Stunned and saddened. I just don’t have the words right now."

WWE also made a public statement on Neidhart’s passing: “WWE is saddened to learn that Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart has passed away.”

Ric Flair tweeted, "My Good Friend Jim Neidhart, A World Class Athlete And A Man Among Men. Rest In Peace."

He was the father of current WWE superstar Natalya, and was married to Bret's sister.

The cause of death is not yet known.
