Alexis Sanchez spent some well earned time off at the National Gallery in London after starring against his former side Arsenal.

Sanchez's Manchester United beat the Gunners 2-1, with the Chilean putting in a solid shift against his ex-employers.

He didn't find the himself on the scoresheet, unlike ex-Red Devil Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who caused a stir on social media with his lack of celebration.

The Armenian's goal wasn't enough, and despite cancelling out Paul Pogba's opener, Marouane Fellaini's stoppage time winner secured all three points.

Sanchez, who moved to Old Trafford in January, welcomed every one of his former team-mates to the stadium before kick-off and embraced Arsene Wenger on the touchline.

The 29-year-old took to Instagram in the aftermath of the game, and labelled United his 'family'.

"Happy for the win. But for next season, if we want to fight for the premier league and the champions and everything that comes, we must keep improving because we are the MANCHESTER UNITED ALL TOGETHER FAMILY."

And he continued to update fans on his day off, posting pictures of him at the National Gallery in London.

Sanchez posed against a backdrop of famous pictures, and uploaded some snaps of world renowned artwork including Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh.

He made the utmost of his day too, enjoying tea in a swanky looking establishment.
