Everton's main shirt sponsor SportPesa has deleted a second tweet 'mocking the club' after apparently poking fun at Sam Allardyce's appointment - and Toffees fans aren't too pleased.
The Kenyan-based sports betting platform's official Twitter account wrote: "Sam Allardyce is set to become the new Everton manager!"
Adding: "Talk about finding love in a hopeless place... #EFC". The tweet was accompanied by a gif of the former England boss dancing to Rihanna song We Found Love.
Everton fans took to Twitter to criticise the tweet - the second which has poked fun at the club in a matter of months
One supporter wrote: "Hopeless place? Fantastic sponsor you crowd are." While another added: "SportPesa really don't learn, huh?"
Back in October, following Arsenal's 5-2 demolition of the Merseyside club, SportPesa tweeted: "[Five] goals from 5 different [players] = 3 [points]. Well in Gunners! Superb gift by the players for the birthday gaffer! #MadeOfWinners".
This also received a backlash, prompting SportPesa to delete it and release a lengthy statement apologising for "any offence caused"
Everton announced Allardyce more than six weeks after the dismissal of Ronald Koeman on Wednesday.
The 63-year-old has put pen-to-paper on an 18-month deal worth £9million, meaning he will earn more than the likes Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.
