Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala risks suspension from all football activities after he filed a suit at the High Court against the Kenyan Premier League.

Adagala was last week suspended for 60 days by KPL’s disciplinary committee for bringing the game into disrepute.

His club was also fined a total of Sh1 million, which seems to have upset the Muhoroni boss, prompting him to go to court. He was asked to pay Sh600,000 in his capacity as chairman and the team Sh400,000.

In a letter to Adagala, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has asked the Muhoroni boss to withdraw the case within seven days.

“In the event that you fail to withdraw the case as advised, then the matter shall be referred to the National Executive Committee, which may prefer sanctions against you,” said the letter by FKF Chief Executive Robert Muthomi.

The FKF official reminded Adagala that his action is in contravention of Fifa statutes.

“Fifa statutes expressly forbid taking of disputes in the association or disputes affecting leagues, members of leagues, and other association officials to ordinary courts of law and therefore is a serious violation of our statutes,” said Muthomi.

The league body took stern action against Muhoroni Youth following violence during their matches involving Nzoia Sugar and Kakamega Homeboyz.

Apart from being banned and fined, Muhoroni Youth also forfeited three points from the abandoned match against Homeboyz.

Before the latest action, the federation had banned Muhoroni Stadium.
