Tanzanian soccer fan sneaks past tight security to hug Wayne Rooney

A Tanzanian football fan wearing a Manchester United shirt yesterday ran into the pitch during the Gor Mahia vs Everton game to hug England striker Wayne Rooney.

Police officers followed the supporter onto the pitch as he got his chance to hug the 31-year-old striker.

The football fan is said to have sneaked past the heavy security at the stadium and onto the pitch where he went and hugged the former Manchester United playmaker.

The football fan was arrested but later released after the Tanzanian minister of sports ordered he be released.
