Kajiado's Laiser Hill Academy announced their comeback to the Rift Valley region in an enviable fashion.
Their 97-26 victory in boys' basketball against Uasin Gishu High School yesterday was enough to let everyone know that the former champions are back.
Buoyed by height advantage, Laiser led 51-11 at half time (17-5, 34-6) before exploding in the third quarter with a 27-3 victory and wrapping up the fourth quarter 19-11 on day one of the region's Term One games.
Laiser's captain Steven Wokorach, who was the stop scorer with 12 points, said the team would not underrate any of their opponents in their Pool C matches.
"We are not going to assume any team, but we are determined to win the title for the first time in four years. Our comeback from the Metropolitan Regional Games should end on a positive note," he said.
