Roman Abramovich and Diego Costa

Diego Costa will be left to rot if he fails to accept Chelsea’s decree that he is not for sale to any Chinese bidder.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and manager Antonio Conte agree a stand must be made to keep the Spain international at their club.

If necessary Conte will leave Costa out of the Blues first team for the rest of the January transfer window before reviewing the player’s long term future.

And senior Chelsea stars are telling Costa he should apologise to the club and back down.
