Emily Muteti made a massive statement to Kenyan swimming fraternity that she is ready for the December World Swimming Championships in Canada after breaking three national records during the Kenya Open and Age Group gala at Oshwal Academy, Mombasa.
It was a clear evidence that Emily deserved to be among eight swimmers to form Kenya for the Canada championships as she is on top form and much is expected from her at the global event.

Swimming for Mombasa Aquatic Swim Club, Emily improved her own record of the 1,500m freestyle of 18 minute 33.70 in the All-comers, Open and 16 years and over she set September 10 last year at Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa. Her new record stands at 17.56.82.
At the end of the first day of the championships, which concludes today (Sunday), Muhammad Bilal Khandwalla of Bandari Swim Club coached by Fakry Mansoor set two national records in boys 14/15 years 100m backstroke.
He broke the 100m backstroke record of 1.02.39 he set a fortnight ago during the Coast swimming championships at Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa to improve it to 1.01.71 in boys Junior and 14/15 years category.
