As through some sepia of instant nostalgia created by a rainbow of Ngong Classics, Heard The One (Jacob Lokorian), let rip against Revolution (Charles Mwangi), Wirraway (Lesley Sercombe), Dimattina (Daniel Tanui), and, You’re So Vain (Patrick Mungai), in the Newport Africa Oaks.

With all the rapt fervour of cheetahs in full flight, Heard The One, Revolution, and, Wirraway, formed a constellation of prosperity as they entered the final stretch. Oliver Gray’s, Heard The One, then changed gear to progress confidently for Karen Blixen Coffee Garden. Lokorian had earlier delivered Upsala, and, Revolution, for an ultra-decent treble.
