Lady Gaga wears world’s first flying dress

During her launch party for her latest album, Lady Gaga became the first woman to pilot what is believed to be the first ever flying dress. The dress, christened Volantis, lifted Lady Gaga about 70 inches off the ground.

The battery-powered dress was developed by a technology company in London known as Studio XO. It features six booms each containing electric motors that power up propeller blades which help uplift the wearer. Beneath the propellers is a moulded body suit that the wearer gets into.

The Volantis is controlled via a remote controller through radio signals by another person and not the wearer.
