The vast Kisii region will produce eight men’s teams, while four guest teams will come from Nairobi.

The tournament which will be graced by a top artist during a concert night on April 21 is geared towards sensitising youths on HIV and AIDs, drugs and substance abuse.

According to the tournament’s director Benjamin Ayimba, who is a former Kenya Sevens coach, they are confident of staging a successful tournament.

“We chose Kisii because it’s untapped area.

“Apart from talent scouting and growing the game, our main aim is to create and raise awareness about HIV/AIDs.” Ayimba told The Standard Sports.
