Kajiado County has been urged to increase funds allocated to support   people living with disability. Kitengela/Sholinke Ward Representative Daniel Kanchori told a Christmas party at Tiara Foundation offices that 40 children living with disability reside in Kanchori and  Noonkopir villages in Kitengela.

Although he did not cite any scientific study to back his claims, the MCA said  air pollution by several factories that burn toxic chemicals in the area contributed to these disabilities.

Tara director Mary Wambui Ndungu said children mostly suffered from Autism, Down Syndrome and celebral palsy.

Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye said the county government has allocated Sh15million to support people living with disability.
