Boost for security as 4,000 recruits set to join the force

The country's security system is expected to receive a major boast in a couple of months as 4,000 Administration Police (AP) officers are set to join it. Majority of the new recruits will be posted to areas affected by cattle rustling, and along porous border points to deal with illegal immigrants.

This comes after 2,000 AP recruits graduated in a ground-manoeuvre operation on the vast Kedong ranch in Naivasha.
