Baringo speaker William Kamket moves to court to challenge his removal

Baringo, Kenya: Embattled former Baringo Speaker William Kamket has moved to the Employment and Labour relations Court in Nakuru seeking to stay his removal by the assembly from the Speaker position.

Through lawyer Kpkoech Ngetich, Kamket told Justice Stephen Radido that the assembly made the decision to kick him out through an illegal process disguised as a public petition.

Kamket wants the court to stop the assembly from advertising and processing applications to fill speaker’s position pending the hearing of the case.
