Two people killed in renewed border clashes

Two people have been killed along the border of Trans-Nzoia and West Pokot counties in renewed clashes between two communities, sparked by cattle rustling.

On Saturday evening, two unknown assailants hacked to death a boda boda operator they hired at Karnyarkwat market, igniting protests from members of his community. It took the intervention of MPs Samuel Moroto (Kapenguria), Ferdinand Wanyonyi (Kwanza) and Henry Ole Ndiema (Trans-Nzoia) to restore calm.
