Kevin Ndege - Actor, Changing times

BY CRYSTAL OKUSA

How would you describe your style?

Casual with a touch of African taste. It is a habit I picked while in high school and has since grown with it to fit my casual day-to-day style. I am not the shiny bling kind of guy. If I have to accessorise, an African choker would do it for me.

My hair…

Is embracing the new rugged trend. I changed from Afro four months ago because the second season of Changes Times required me to look younger.

Sneakers or formal kicks...

Formal shoes though I wear sneakers once in a while. For me it is all about appearance and formal shoes can work many occasions, from dates to work, and both dress down and dress up occasions.

Catch me dead in…

Kevin Ndege

Supras, they are just too young for my style. I prefer a more mature look.

How would you dress your date?

First, she has to be wearing high-heels— heels just have a way of bringing out sex appeal in a chick. Top this with just-above-the-knee dress. For a date, long dress would not work.

Which trend for chicks would you ban if you had your way?

Weaves that look like they are about to fall off. Since most chicks wear weaves nowadays, they have to try and do it right so that it almost looks like real hair.

Which two actresses do you find stylish?

Patricia (Changing Times) and Tanya (Tahidi High), they both have very different styles. I like Patricia’s more because it shows she is a bold chick with a strong personality unlike Tanya who plays safe with trends.

Celebrity who inspires my wardrobe would be…

Will Smith, he rocks anything and looks good in it. I believe any guy above 18 should own a pair of suit.

Boxers or briefs...

Boxers, they are comfortable, loose and free for more space. My colours are dark blues, brown and blacks although I am now embracing more colours, but let us not get excited, nothing with the really bright colours in that department just yet.

If money were not an issue, which designer label would you live in?

Sean John suits, if I could afford them. I would rock them everywhere even to bed. They are just irresistibly sleek.

What trend are you currently obsessed over?

Bright colours. I have worn dark colours for far too long so now I am trying out bright colours that will make me stand out in the crowd.

Style tip I live by?

Comfortably confident.
