False majority: Azimio have the numbers, but the law may not help with majority problem

Kenya's recent political history is replete with political formations such as National Alliance Rainbow Coalition (Narc), Party of National Unity (PNU) and Jubilee which never outlasted their stay in power. Others include Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) and National Super Alliance (NASA).

And as Azimio One Kenya Coalition Party assumes its role as the Opposition following its failure to win the presidency, it remains to be seen whether it will survive beyond the three months its 23 affiliates are legally bound to the pre-election agreement that brought them together.
