Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said Azimio la Umoja One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Marth Karua are best suited to steer development.

Addressing rallies in Murang'a, Embu and Kirinyanga counties, today, Kalonzo defended Raila and Karua's track record and said their rivals were just spreading rumours and propaganda.

Speaking at Kenol market, Murang'a county, the Wiper leader said Deputy President William Ruto was full of anger and is on record for having slapped the late Eldoret North MP the late Reuben Chesire at State House.

He warned Kenyans against electing persons of loose morals.

Kalonzo, who was accompanied by Murang’a Woman Rep Sabina Chege, campaigned for Jubilee candidates Jamleck Kamau (Governor) Kembi Gitura (Senate) and Waithira Muithirania (Woman Representative).

He said Azimio leadership will continue with development projects that were initiated by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Let it be known that Raila Odinga is the best leader as Kenya Kwanza Team leader William Ruto is a person full of anger and hatred,” said Kalonzo.

Ms Chege appealed to Mt Kenya residents to vote for credible leaders and shun persons without morals.

“After Raila picked Karua the running mate, as a woman I knew that Central issues will be catered for as well as those of the country,” she said.

Kalonzo rallied the Eastern region to vote as a bloc and put the more than two million votes in the Azimio basket.

He said the Azimio enjoys support in Marsabit, Isiolo, Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Machakos, Kituo and Makueni counties.

Addressing a rally in Kiritiri Market, Embu, Kalonzo defended his decision to support Raila's presidential bid for the third time.

"I know many people have come here to spread propaganda about me, but just know that I stepped down for Raila and now Eastern region is in Azimio and will get the Prime minister position, God Willing," he said.

The Wiper leader further said that he was content with the position of Chief Cabinet Secretary that Raila promised him if Azimio takes over power.

Former Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti who is eyeing the governorship on the 'Bus' ticket expressed optimism that Azimio will form the next government.

"As Embu and Eastern region, we are proud of Kalonzo and Azimio will be forming the next Government," Mr Kivuti said.

Murang'a Woman Rep urged Embu residents to support Raila and Karua saying Azimio government will ensure free education from primary to university level.

"The youths and the elderly will not be left out as Azimio has taken care of them in the manifesto," she said.

Ms Chege admitted that she has never supported Raila but the tide has changed and many Kenyans will support him and he will deliver in his promises.

The Azimio la Umoja caravan made stopovers at Kiageni market in Makima, Kiritiri market in Mbeere South, Makengi in Runyenjes, and Embu town in Manyatta constituency.
