Jubilee Party has suspended three Nairobi County MCAs from the party over disloyalty

The ward legislators have also been de-whipped from all the committees they serve in at the Nairobi County Assembly for six months.

The decision was arrived at after a day-long disciplinary committee hearing at the party's headquarters in Pangani Nairobi.

MCAs Ann Thumbi, Silvia Museiya and Millicent Jagero were found guilty of undermining the leadership of the party.

"The charged members are suspended from Jubilee Party for three months in accordance with Article 13.4.1(a) as read together with regulations 54.1(b) of Jubilee Party National Disciplinary Committee regulations of 2017," said Muchai Lumatete, the chair of the Jubilee National Disciplinary Committee.

Lumatete explained that the decision will be delivered within 14 days in accordance with Regulation 5 of the Jubilee Party National Disciplinary Committee regulations of 2017.

The ruling comes just days after the three nominated ward representatives were summoned for being disloyal to the party by constantly going against the party’s position on a number of issues.

The trio's woes started after Majority Whip Paul Kados reported  their conduct to the national disciplinary committee on November 23 this year.
