Uhuru, Ruto to unveil Jubilee manifesto at Kasarani

NAIROBI; KENYA: Jubilee Coalition launches its election manifesto at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani Gymnasium on Sunday.

 Several ambassadors and High Commissioners have been invited to the launch, which will be live on the Google hangout.

The launch will be preceded by a closed-door aspirants’ forum. The coalition’s presidential candidate is Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and his running mate is former Eldoret North MP William Ruto.

“The aspirants meeting starting at 11am to 12.30pm will be a session closed to the public,” read a statement from the coalition’s secretariat.

The main pillars of the manifesto are: Umoja (Cohesion and unity), Uchumi (Economic transformation) and Uwazi (Transparency and accountability).

The coalition plans to focus on security, trade and foreign affairs. Other areas include sports, culture and health care. The coalition also promises to raise education standards and boost the economy. Other aspects include land reforms, food security, housing and energy provision.
