Kanu has said that it will stick to the Jubilee Coalition (URP-TNA-UDF) pact and is not going to field any presidential candidate in the coming General Election.

Party chairman Gideon Moi declared that they would support either Deputy Prime Ministers Uhuru Kenyatta or his counterpart Musalia Mudavadi as the team’s flag-bearer.

“We signed a deal with the team and will support either Uhuru or Mudavadi for the presidency,” said Gideon.

He said Kanu, which is the mother party of the other political parties, was ready to launch its manifesto, including spearheading education, security and participation of the youth in leadership.

Gideon spoke over the weekend at Oloirien area in Kajiado West at a Kanu rally where he endorsed Mr Hamilton Parseina for Kajiado West parliamentary seat under the party’s ticket.
