I will announce my running mate soon, says Karua

Narc-Kenya presidential aspirant Martha Karua has said she will soon announce her running mate.  She will pick a man to run for deputy president.

Karua said she will make the announcement when time comes as stipulated by the Constitution.

“When time comes, I am going to name a man as my presidential running mate as stipulated in the Constitution,” she said.

Karua was speaking at Ciakariga village in Tharaka Nithi County during the burial of her party’s councillor, the late Moses Nyaga David.

The late Nyaga was the only civic leader from the area elected on a Narc –Kenya ticket.

She said her party was the only one which has put into consideration composition of its officials who include men, women, youth and the disabled.

Karua told the mourners that despite the fact that she travels by road to seek for votes across the country, she was able to reach many Kenyans who have come to like the ideas she stands for.

She likened herself with the mother who wakes up early to attend to her daily chores and at the end of the day brings food on the table for all her children, and yet serves the husband and has still some for the visitors.

“When you elect me as president, I will ensure that every Kenyan gets a share of the national cake no matter how small as long as it will be equitably shared,” she said.
