The 1980s and 1990s dance stars, who took the Kenyan entertainment scene to new heights during their hey days, are set to entertain the coastal town, Mombassa, Saturday at the Club Lambada, Mtwapa, North Coast.

Dance legends and DJs who ruled the scene in the 1980s and 1990s will thrill led by Paul ‘Cracker’ Munyao and Yellow Man. On the decks will be DJ Frere Boy, DJ Eddie and DJ Mdosi.

The events organiser, Cracker says that they are taking the party down coast due to public demand.

"After our performances in Nairobi, we have received requests from our funs all over Kenya, and we have decided to stage a tour," says, Cracker, the events organiser who was the winner of the hyped 1988 Win-a-Motorbike Competition that catapulted him to fame, and ushered in sequel dance competitions like Win-a-Car 1990.

The dancers who are now in their 40s, went different ways, but they are back together, nostalgically reliving the break dance days that showcases that even with age, one can keep their talent, dreams alive.

And indeed, during the Carnival event, Cracker and Charles Ng’ang’a proved that they haven’t been mellowed by age. Kanda King, who also launched his career, then a boy, during this time, injected a dose of modern trends and vivacity.
