Jazz maestro Nimrod Hellon Onyango is out on bail as police continue with their investigations into the Finger of God Church saga.

Hellon and five others were released on Sh20,000 cash bail after pleading not guilty to the charge of being members of an unlawful society.

His partner Quincy Zuma Timberlake remained in custody and is expected to appear before Makadara magistrate

The charge stated that on February 20 this year at Runda Estate in Nairobi, with others not before the court, they were jointly found to be members of an unlawful society commonly known as Finger of God Church.

The other five charged with Hellon and Timberlake are Samwel Nahashon, Fredrick Onyango, Vincent Onyango, Grace Njiriri and Veronica Agape Koten

On Monday, the Finger of God Church officials and members arraigned in court claimed the religious institution was registered in 2007.
