Assistant chief's benevolence brings hope to needy students

Bright and needy students in Katieno B village in Ugenya sponsored by assistant chief Joash Ogolla. He sponsored about 88 students in the last academic year from his personal savings. [Olivia Odhiambo, Standard] 

It is 6am and students from various secondary schools are trooping into the home of the Katieno B assistant chief in Ugenya, Siaya County, hoping to get financial help as a new academic year starts.

Some of them are anxious not to miss their places in Form One.
