A caretaker accused of defiling a four-year-old minor in Nyasare village in Suna East Sub-county, Migori County two weeks ago has been arrested.
According to police reports, the caretaker was caught while in his house on Thursday evening.
Suna East police Esau Ochorokodi while confirming the arrest said that the suspect was found in his house at the time of the arrest.
"We have arrested the suspect and we are conducting our investigations," Ochorokodi said.

According to the minor’s grandmother, the minor sustained serious injuries and was unable to walk.
She wondered why police were yet to arrest the suspect after they reported him and medical tests were done on the minor.
“We want the police to arrest the suspect so that he can be charged in court,” she said in an earlier interview.
The minor's grandmother accused the caretaker of trying to convince the family to settle the matter out of court, a move she said they have opposed.
