Man found dead in Bondo

A 32-year-old man has been found dead inside a house in Nyangera village, Bondo sub-county.

The deceased, Samuel Chitere who hails from Mumias is said to have been found dead at around 1 pm under unclear circumstances.

According to the owner of the home where the deceased was working as herdsman Pheobe Achieng', he last saw him in the morning.

"We've been staying with him here and we had no issue that could lead to such an incident to happen," said Achieng'.

She told The Standard that she learnt about Chetere's death after she sent his (Chitere's) son to go and pick a basin from his father's house

"When the boy went to the house, he found the door closed and when he opened, he found his father's lifeless body lying in a pool of blood," she said.

Chitere's wife, Maurine Akinyi who was not around during the incident, said that they had no issues.

"I was with him on Monday before I left to where am working as a house help and I was to come back on Saturday," she said.
