Migori County Secretary Christopher Rusana will take plea today in the afternoon following his arrest by Ethics and Anti-Corruption officers.

Kisii Senior Magistrate Nathan Shiundu gave defense lawyers time to file their affidavits by today noon.

Rusana appeared in court early today morning but his counsel requested for two hours to file their responses on the application made by the prosecution counsel.

The prosecution told the court that they had served the defense team with the application seeking the court to deny the accused bail.

Principal Prosecutor Jami Yamina told the court that he was ready to submit reasons why he was opposing bail on the accused.

Rusana's lawyers Rodgers Abisai, Jared Kisere and Rodger Sagana told the court that there was no harm to have plea taking moved to noon.

"We already preparing our responses and will be glad have our client take plea after we have filed our affidavit."
