Mombasa County Beach inspectors to curb harassment

The newly formed Mombasa County Beach Inspectorate Unit has started patrolling public beaches, which are popular sites for holidaymakers in Mombasa.

Job Tumbo, the Mombasa County executive in charge of tourism and culture development, said harassment of beachgoers has been cited as a major impediment to the growth of coastal tourism. The unit is expected to work with other law enforcers to curb this ill.
