The High Court yesterday granted jailed former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu permission to amend his appeal against his conviction and sentencing in the Sh588 million corruption case.
Justice Lucy Njuguna of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division allowed Waititu to revise his petition to include a fresh application for bail and bond. "After considering the submissions from both sides, I found that a petition of appeal may be amended with the leave of the court. The application has merit and is therefore granted," ruled Justice Njuguna.
